Seeking Blood Donors for Research!

Haematology

Study Title: Interactions between blood-derived progenitor cell populations and biomaterials

Purpose of study: To learn how distinct cell populations that are circulating in the blood react to different cell culture materials; how biomaterial properties can affect cell behavior and cell survival. The results may help improve currently existing materials and methods to either produce certain cell types of interest for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular disease.

What will I have to do if I agree to participate? You are invited to donate blood for the purposes of confidential, advanced and promising research. Only 120 mL of blood will be collected (about 1/3 of what you would normally donate at blood clinics).

Compensation: $30.00 + refreshments

For more information or to book an appointment, please contact the recruitment coordinator Lisa Danielczak from the research group of Prof. Corinne Hoesli, which is part of the Department of Chemical Engineering at McGill University.
