Schmidt Science Fellow Award - Congratulations Jonathan 🎉

The Hoesli lab is proud to announce that Jonathan Brassard, PhD, was recently awarded the prestigious Schmidt Science Fellowship!

As a 2025 Schmidt Science Fellow, Jonathan will use synthetic development strategies to increase the physiological relevance of organoids for modeling human development and disease more accurately. Jonathan aims to genetically modify stem cells to enhance organoid vascularization and their subsequent development. He will use this to model human pancreatic development and disease to harness knowledge about these diseases and their potential cures.
