Ray has just published a review in Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology on "Developmentally-inspired biomimetic culture models to produce functional islet-like cells from pluripotent precursors". He offers a comprehensive look into the studies conducted to promote pancreatic differentiation via biophysical stimuli in in vitro settings. Advances in this field will optimize the production of insulin-producing beta cells from stem cells for the treatment of diabetes. Read more here!
